Our Story

First Chartered in 1995, our club was, at that time, the newest and smallest of three clubs in the Montgomery area. We are now one of four clubs in the Montgomery area, and while we are still one of the smallest, we're proud to say we've perhaps got the biggest Rotary footprint! Three of our club members have served the district as District Governor and we have multiple members who serve the District as Assistant Governors, Committee Chairs, etc.

We're proud to be known as "The Fun Club" in Montgomery and the District. and we believe in serving our community, but we believe we should be having fun doing it!

In addition to our work in the local community, the club formed the Montgomery Sunrise Foundation as a charitbale arm of the Rotary Club.  The Foundation annually raises funds to be distributed within the Montgomery community to support various charitable projects.  The Foundation has been responsible to placing over $250,000 back into the community since it's inception.  The largest annual fundrasing event was our Commitment to Service Award program which was held annuallt until 2019-2020 when it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
